Pesciano is just 300 meters from our house, but it's difficult to really see it this close.
The hilltop town is clearly visible, however, from the little Agritourist restaurant iRossi, just 3km away at dusk.
As we ate a fantastic meal at iRossi, we watched the lights come on in the village as night fell.
After the huge thunderstorm on Saturday afternoon, we decided to do a little shopping in Pesciano. The Tabacchi is open from 10-1 and 5-7. We took our own shopping basket.
In the center of town, next to the church, is the community pump, or faucet, as the case may be. Everyone around Pesciano stores water in cisterns.
This is not just "a" street scene in Pesciano - it is pretty much "the" street scene. At 5:00-sharp, the villagers came out of their houses and started to gather in the streets. There was quite a debate among them when we asked what time church service was in the morning. Turned out they don't have a church service there!
Our little Stone House sits just below the village of Pesciano, population 35. These are a few of the sites we see each day when we walk to the village.
